Challenge
Millions of older adults and individuals with mobility limitations rely on grocery delivery for everyday essentials, yet high service fees, complicated checkout experiences, and repetitive ordering create barriers to access. User research revealed that many delayed purchases, skipped essential items, or avoided placing small orders because existing delivery apps prioritized convenience over accessibility and affordability.

Solution
BundleMate is an accessibility conscience grocery delivery concept designed to reduce both financial and usability barriers. The app introduces Neighborhood Delivery Bundling, allowing nearby users to share deliveries and automatically split service and delivery fees, and an Auto-Buy Cart that saves recurring essentials for one-tap ordering. These features simplify the ordering process, reduce unnecessary effort, and create a calmer, more supportive user experience.
Impact
BundleMate demonstrates how accessibility can shape the entire user experience rather than simply improving the interface. By addressing cost, simplifying repeat purchases, and reducing friction during checkout, the concept promotes greater independence for users who rely on grocery delivery. The project highlights how inclusive design can create practical solutions that improve affordability, usability, and everyday access to essential services.
